What do people think of the mount bases. On one hand a consideration might be how easy is the rifle be to top feed? But I don't think it would be a serious impediment especially if the owner/user was used to his rifle and used it enough. A scope in place on any rifle would be more an impediment. I think the customer wanted the Rigby "signage" to be still visible.

I do like that it cleans up the top of the action. And compared to the chunky bases on the Blixen rifle, allows a better sight picture.

I do like the old pop up peep sights on the old rifles, which no doubt would be possible if ordered that way.
