$500, wreck and sell barrel & stock, say $150 depending, makes a nice action for $350.
Or just try for an '09 Arg. action only with hinged F/P for $500-6-7 ish. Getting harder to get these days but they do turn up from time to time.
Like anything, buyer beware of backyard gunsmiths, they love to f/up 98's. Get it checked out by your gun maker.
