Here in the next few days I will be the owner of a spanish mauser 93 in 7x57. I know these actions are not as strong as the 98's, but a rifle I do like the looks of in a round that offers all the performance I could ask for. I would like some opinions on these rifles. It wears the original military barrel, so looking for bullets it possibly will like best. What can be done to these rifles to "improve" them. Not asking to turn a turd to gold lol, but create a rifle that will be a piece of art as well as a hunting tool. It will be in a boyds semi inletted stock, drilled and tapped. First order of plans after I get it is to rust blue the entire firearm, and search for the proper bases, and finish inletting the stock |
