Wrong! While Rigby was the sole British importer for Mauser rifles, Westley Richards had the British monopoly as a distributor for Mauser C96 pistols. Winston Churchill got his C96 from Westley Richards, Birmingham and London.
According to John Rigby"s website, they claim Churchill purchased the 96 from them. I belive they would know best.
