I had one cased in .303 Takedown I wanted to sell for $9000. Nobody wanted it for that kind of money. I ented up Trading it for a modern made Mauser.(Tradevalue $6000). I shot the rifle and they feed and shoot great. John Rigby was sitting in the commission who were behind the development of the .303 so if one were to have a Rigbymauser a .303 couldn´t become more Rigby. If I again should have a smallbore Rigby a .303 would in my optics be the only right caliber. It´s difficult to say if that gun linked to is too expensive. Only some 48 Rigbys were made in .303 if I recall correct. I know some people will say there is made at least a 100 but regardsless of what they are rare and if you feel its worth it I won´t be standing in your way. For the real Rigby collector a James Street adress is more attractive than a Sackwill adress. Make a choice!. |
