I have to ask, simply because I play about with a little wood from time to time, but is there an unseen reason for laying out the b/a on the blank in this way. I expect there will be some cast to the stock but the blank looks to be amply thick enough to have the b/a laid out to take advantage of the straight(er) grain for the forestock and still have sufficient thickness to allow for cast. |
