Sounds feasible,however I think I would prefer the Savage barrel nut version of quick take-off barrels. Some of the fellows over on a small bore (Wildcat) forum I frequent have found this successful for their dual barrel rifles. ONe of them, a few years back, had 3 actions, magnum, standard and short. He had some 40 different calibre barrels fitting those three actions, ranging from .17 Fireball on up to .450 Watts.
