I have a Zi-Di rifle in 6.5 x 52 which I posted about a few years ago in an attempt to learn what cartridge the rifle is chambered for. The consensus from xausa and others was .25 Remington. Fast forward a few years and I've acquired some NOS remington ammo in .25 Remington. The ammo chambers perfectly in my Remington 30-S. It also fits the clip and feeds perfectly in the Zi-Di, but the bolt won't quite turn down. Stupid question - am I risking anything by exerting a little more muscle and forcing the bolt to close? Could the chamber be cut so tight that some brands of ammo will fit and others won't? (i have this issue in a vintage G&H in .404. It likes RWS solids and original Kynoch, but not Norma or Kynamco). FYI - the Zi-Di has a Mauser type bolt handle but it is placed well forward like a Greifelt. Any thoughts much appreciated. Thanks |
