Bill: Another interesting rifle in the Amoskeag auction was lot #220, a very early factory Kurz action 8x51 Mauser built in 1902. This is one of the earliest one's I've seen offered for sale. I stopped by to personally inspect lot #54, the Fred Adolph Kurz Mauser described as a 25 Adolph Express. Unfortunately, it was much modified by some Bubba and the value was destroyed. The present caliber is anyone's guess but it's certainly NOT a 25 Adolph Express.
