At one time c.10-20 years ago Purdey tried (and I think failed) to develop their own bolt action rifle.

Nowadays they all use CNC machines and would have the capability of making their own bolt action Mauser 98 clones, but my understanding is the task is much harder than just reverse engineering them and none of them are likely to have the volumes of production to make it worthwhile. It might be different for H & H, but Purdeys were never really "known" for bolt action rifles.
