i do not own a mauser rifle but am looking at one to purchase.it is a model b in 30-06.i am in discussion about the purchase.it is original finish wood and metal.has a parker hale cocking piece peep sight and he will be sending pictures.has a serial number which places it in 1928-1929.the present owner indicates it is all original and about 80% with an excellent bore.i am wondering if it would be safe with modern 30-06 ammo.and i would say probably needs to be checked out by a gunsmith.any advise and i thank you all.john
