Love your rifle! Thin, light, and made to hunt. I own a very similar rifle. Mine has raised side panels and a more open grip. I'm not a fan of the look of side pannels. It points for me like a fitted bird gun. Someone rechambered it to 8mm-06 and matte blued all the metal. I haven't shot it yet, but hope to soon. I wish it had not been rechambered. The standard 8x57 is such a great efficient round. What is your rifles muzzle diameter? Mine is .615. I've come across many rifles like these. All seem too have identicle barrel contours. Have fun!
