Hello Folks My Kurz rebuild project is with the Gunsmith. My initial instructions were to make and fit a set of bases that would take Conetrol rings – I have photos of a Dawin Hensley Kurz project so done and it was quite nice. However to his credit my Gunsmith has requested further consideration, he feels the action is worthy of “more sympathetic” treatment. He is very capable, not perhaps in the class of M. Dorleac etc., but close and capable of excellent work when inspired !! So we have a 1923 Model B small ring kurz action with no bridges, what might be a nice way fitting it for a scope ?? I should disclose that the bolt handle is to be altered (it is very pitted) so we have some room to move there. I do not want to “go modern” and use a Talley or EAW inspired system, rather I feel something that is “esprit retro” is in order and I think in a European rather than “New World” style. It is not essential that the scope is “quick detach”. Thanks Foster |
