For some reason the 7mm vom Hofe Super Express has always interested me. I think it was after reading, I think it was a Harald Wolf article, on a German hunter who used a 7mm SEVH and a .404 for hunts across the world. (Corrected - it may not have been a .404 but a .500 NE double rifle.)

I looked up the ballistics at the time, and from memory they were something like a 7mm Rem Mag?

What was the case based on?
