Apparently they did, as they listed this cartridge in their magazine dimension table. BTW, all "Original Wilhelm Brenneke, Leipzig" pre-war bolt action rifles I know about were actually made for Brenneke by Schmidt & Habermann, Suhl, eveidenced by a hidden "ESHA" stamp you find on all these famous rifles. Early postwar "Original Wilhelm Brenneke, Berlin" were bought in from Walter Röll, who continued the Mauser commercial production into the 1960s. Later ones were put together by others on FN actions.
