a rare post war 1956 made .425NE by westley richards
http://www.champlinarms.com/Default.aspx...&GunID=2262

a very basic PH rifle compared with the best made 425 mauser rifles by WR. overpriced with 8900 $... I would say not more than 4900$ but anyone as he like. wonder if this have the common double row magazin without the original clips.

Westley Richards & Co. London: A Westley Richards PH Model 425 Westley Richards Magnum Bolt Rifle Made About 1956 on a FN Commercial Mauser Action, The action never drilled or tapped, Mauser trigger, Extended deep magazine box with an outside button release for the floorplate, A 26" barrel with an island sight with 1 fixed standing blade, Island front sight with a sight protector, Proved at 18.5 tons, Forend tiedown with a barrel lug, Open sight sporter stock, Wrap around point pattern checkering, No cheekpiece, 13 7/8" LOP over a 7/8" Silvers pad, 9 Lbs. 6 oz., A steel inset and inletted crossbolt at the front recoil lug that doesn't show on the outside, This piece with original blue that still remains at 82-84%, The stock has been oiled but I don't believe sanded & it remains 92%, The checkering at 95%, The bore is very good plus with sharp rifling the entire way. This cartridge is a serious big game cartridge using a 410 grain bullet. This piece comes with loading dies, cases and plenty of bullets.
