It really is a good shooting rifle and seems to like anthing I have fed it.
In 1993 it filled my one and only grizzly tag with a single round, a 600 gr. Barnes Original over a case full of 748 powder, cracking my collar bone in the process.
Cast bullets made for the 45-70 shoot very well and are great for hunting game like Mulies or even Moose.
With a 3X Leupold on it only weighs about 8.5 lbs. so this 66 yr. old fogey can pack it all day long.
And yes, it does have that wild looking factory built in brake.... seems to work though..
