The rifle was retailed by Simon Heim, Faerberstrasse 32, Nuremberg, founded 1908, but made for him in Suhl. It was proofed by the Suhl proofhouse September 1928. The barrel was made by the barrelmaker Wilhelm Kelber, Beiersgrund 3, Suhl. The rifle was built for Heim by Adolf Schön, Trübenbachstr.11, Suhl, at the end of his career as a master gunmaker. By 1929 the A.Schön business was taken over by an Otto Schlott. It is probably made on a scrubbed and highly altered military action of WW1 vintage. |
