XAUSA, once i have the stock in hand we'll talk, it shipped yesterday so i should have it by the end of the week. jgrabow, i'll keep you in mind if i decide to part with it and XAUSA backs out. i doubt i'll ever come across the parts to put it back together and i defintly think its something that should be restored and put back in service. even though it would not be numbered to your action i think an original rigby stock would still be better than a close copy of it. i'm also not sure about duplicaiting it without some slight damage from the stylus and attaching blocks to it to mount it in the duplicator. i am going to at least make some detailed drawings and cardboard patterns to use as a reference on my 303 project. the stock was listed as a vintage stock for a winchester remington or savage as soon as i saw it was for a drop box i started looking closer. i always do a search for vintage in rifle parts just to see what pops up, this time it paid off. there are more pics on the auction page http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370663420931 |
