Mauser Help - No Caliber Markings (More pics)

I have this old Mauser that has no caliber markings. Any help about this gun/caliber will be appreciated?
My smith is suggesting re-barrelling this gun to a more useful caliber as he could not help with the caliber and it could be an obsolete caliber.
