Nice rifle for what you want. I think a .318 WR would make a useful calibre change from a boring .308, especially the 250 gr Woodleigh and 180 and 250 gr Bertram projectiles available here in Australia. The 250 gr loadings would be cool for you for scrub bull and buffalos in the Territory. Brass is available from Bertram and also .30-06 brass can be reformed. The ebony or horn fore-end is not very German looking. The mounts look like a modern recent addition, probably here in Aust - Weaver mounts, Leupold or something like that. That rifle definitely has a chunky trigger guard. |
