the good thing about this sporter is you could see it was made in amberg(bavaria) at 1000 meter. I dont believe Erfurt or Danzig made the stock with the bavarian checkpiece but have the common german checkpiece.
without the amberg logo on the stock one could believe it's a later gunmaker work build of an Amberg made Gewehr 98?
