TERRIFIC wood, by Brno 21 standards. I have a very late (1955) 7x57, my go-to hunting rifle, with wood reminiscent of a basketball court--plain and blonde, and no figure to speak of at all. But the lines are lovely, and the condition is excellent. And it's accurate as hell. I'll post a pic soon! Bolt handle on this 8x60 is non-original, by the way--probably a replacement for the factory butterknife, which one internet wag described as "designed by a florist." Not an entirely unfair assessment, to be honest. This replacement no doubt makes the gun more scope-compatible. Back with more soon... Best, Malcolm |
