Everyone seems to be overlooking #215. Here is a piece of wood with straight grain in the forarm with a little fiddle back, the grain runs properly through the wrist and some spectacular crotch figure through the butt, that would be my choice. Should make a fine using gun, stable forarm, strenght in the wrist and easy on the eye's.
