Mark Is the action a Mauser with the modified bolt release - these came in Safari/Medallion/Olympic grades and had the standard Mauser claw extractor. Later versions had a Sako type extractor and all were standard length - with some opened up for the .375 H&H. For short carteidges (.243/.308 lengths) the Browning Safari/Medallion/Olympic grades were built on the Sako Forester action and .222's were on the Sako Vixen - both with the reciever ground round and were drilled and tapped for scope bases. Triggers were standard Sako. Be interesting to see a photo of the action you describe as undrilled. Bill |
