Hello all Hoping someone can date a couple of Mauser rimfires. First one Serial number 213879. Registered as Model 410 Safety on cocking piece. Magazine well is well forward of the trigger gaurd It is a sporter, with open sights. Very nice two stage trigger. In almost every way a miniature 98 Roundel on butt stock ![]() Right side of action ![]() Left side of action ![]() Underside ![]() Butt plate ![]() Mauser logo on front action ring ![]() Side view of the scope ![]() Looking the the look through mounts ![]() Top view of scope ![]() What does this inscription say ![]() It came with a Landlicht type E scope, would this have been standard fare for such a rifle? Second one Serial number 38281. Registered as a model 92 Safety is where bolt release would normally be on a 98 Magazine well is hard up against the trigger gaurd. It is a sporter, but has no open sights. Nice two stage trigger. Bolt has two diameters. Larger in the back half. EDIT: This one is cock on close, the other one on open Left side of action ![]() Underside showing magazine retainer ![]() Bolt ![]() Mauser logo on front action ring ![]() Interesting keyhole in barrel just forward of stock, maybe for a sling? ![]() The only thing on the barrel that suggests it may have had open sights ![]() Fore stock ![]() I'll try and get some photos tonight if required. Many thanks CF |
