Mike: If you compare Std length Mauser to a magnum length Winchester or Mk V it would not do cause they are different animals altogether. The standard action was made for 30-06 length cartridges and though some gunmakers tweak them for larger cases the action still remains a standard length M98. Now if you wish to compare the lets talk intermediate and magnum length 98, thats fair.... not so?
