The problem with drawing jacketed bullets down in size, is the difference in the metals. If the bullet is a bonded core one, like Woodleighs and others, then the jacket can't come away from the core when it springs back. If the bullet is the cup & core type, then after drawing down, the jacket is not contacting the core as hard as it once was. Lead has virtually no elasticity whereas copper has. |
