I just picked up this lovely, unaltered, '43 vintage Husqvarna 9.3x57. By far the nicest one I've run across. As you can see, it wears a sticker on the stock that reads : "JAKTMARKER och FISKEVATTEN" along with the initials "J&F" , "Grundad 1913" and the moose antlers. Hoping somebody can translate and tell me what it signifies, if anything. I like to think the gun has a Scandinavian moose or two to its credit but it obviously was owned by a hunter who knew how to take care of his rifle! Have 100 rounds of brass and am awaiting dies to arrive. Do the fixed sights generally hit to point of aim with a load duplicating the 286 gr factory loads? Thanx for any help! |
