I have a T.T Proctor rifle built on a 1927 Mexican contract intermediate Mauser action. It has a Shillen barrel, Timney trigger and walnut stock. I am going to Africa with it and have been told to load a heavier bullet than I normally use. The suggestion is that I load Nosler partition 140grain bullets. Calibre is 6.5X57. Anyone out there have any load data that may work? This is my first post. I'm a shotgunner really but have hunted elephant in Botswana, rather like the dangerous game thing and I have a definite interest in double rifles. www.vintageguns.co.uk |
