Re: My newest mauser-Square Bridge

Building a 9.3X62 is my latest project. Taking a much more pedestrian approach in that I'm using an Argentine Mauser, a 22" stainess heavy sporter contour barrel by Schneider, an old all-steel Lyman peep sight, no scope mounts, 6-shot drop magazine bottom metal by Blackburn and a McMillan CZ Express stock. Different from all the other Mausers I have I'm contemplating keeping the original safety, and trigger. The bolt handle shape will be as you have on yours. The finish is what I'm stuck on. All my other guns are either Black-T'd or have Roguard as a finish. This one I'm thinking of keeping the action/bolt in the white looking as on the original Argentine Mauser using some anti-corrosive finish such as Metaloy or electroless nickel, and having all the rest of the metal Black-T'd. However, something in the back of my mind tells me not to. Opinions would be welcome.
Keith
