It's a large ring 98 action with double square bridge ,only 20,000 made worldwide between 1955-65 in.270,30-06,7x57,7x64,8x64S,+9.3x62mm.Be a shame to chop these for a custom rifle.I have one in 30-06 and it makes one hole at 100 yards with either 165gr or 180's.Handloads of course.....JMO......Harold........the 8x68S is only loaded by RWS as far as I know? A buddy has a Sako in that caliber and couldn't get ammo so he had the barrel set back for .338 Win mag brass and a 8mm bore.Not my gun but wrecks any collector value.
