It does have British proofs (see attached).

Looks like I'll have to go with a silvers pad. The LOP measured from the front trigger is 14 1/4" with the pad, 13 1/2" without. I think 14 1/4" is the standard LOP for the Type B.

No idea on the scope mount - hopefully someone on the forum will recognize it. Whoever installed it did a very neat job removing wood to accommodate the release lever on the rear base.

I now have two early Type B's with sight issues - a 7x57 which needs a Lyman 35, and now this one.
