Nice looking early Type B. If the butt has been cut, it isn't by much. Depending on LOP, I would first consider a repro Mauser buttplate. A Silvers pad would be a second option. The vent pad has to go. The scope bases are definitely not factory but probably period. I never saw a rear base quite like this one and don't know where you will find a mount to fit. Are there British proofs anywhere?
