Very good article Tilleyman. It is something that even the big manufacturers don't seem to understand.
I couldn't do the maths like you have, I just measure 3 stacked rounds with the calipers and allow a bit of clearance. Quite a bit of my gunsmithing involves getting rifles to feed reliably. It can be very chalenging.
