Yugo M48 Mausers are "medium" length actions and do not readily convert to rounds such as the .458 Win Mag. I have owned several M48's and they work very well in 8mm Mauser both as hunting and target/fun rifles. Mitchell Mausers are nice but it will take years to retrieve "collector" value back. If you want an M48 watch for one on the online gun auctions. There is no point in buying a Mitchell Mauser for conversion purposes.
