I know a hunter that uses his customized Mauser 66 quite successful, his one is in .460 Weatherby Magnum with muzzlebrake and laminated stock. The Mauser 66 has some fans here in Germany but others (like me) prefer a CRF Mauser 98 for hunting DG. Both will work so its a matter of personal preference.
