Re: new HVA M146 loading

I have both a M46 (1896 action) and a M146 (FN98 action) in 9.3x57. I did have my M46 scoped by the same gunsmith B. Fausett used for his M46 customizing. Bob's is the one you have seen. Lone Star Armory here in the Houston area did the work. Todd Johnson does good work.
I will post photos of mine shortly. (No time lately) and discribe the work. I kept mine retro to the original, but had the safety altered to a side swing, glass bedded, mounted Warne bases with Warne QD rings and a Leupold 2-7 scope. I will save the rest for my post. I am very pleased.
I have yet to take it out and finish the sight in. I will sight it with the 286 gr loads. The irons shoot those very nicely. I will also see how the factory 232 grains shoot. They seem more readily available in case I need to buy ammo, but I have seen NEW runs of the Norma with the 286 gr Alaskan bullet. I have a box. I have yet to reload for this case and Daryl and 9.3 have the experience. I will likely keep looking and take advantage of info they give you!!
More to come.
