The Mauser action serial number would help, ( this will be shown seperately to the Rigby number), at least tell us when the action was acquired form the Mauser factory.
Many of these were acquired as barelled actions and are considered by some of us to be more Mauser than Rigby. Post the pics and all will be revealed!!!
