I don't know the answer to either question. Where would I look for date information? The claw mounts look like they have been on the gun for a long time, I didn't look too close at them since the other rifle is the one that has caught my eye. I really don't know much about Mausers, or Rigbys for that matter, so I am out of my depth here.
