Mauser threads are 55 degree. Starman you don't give your location, it would help,. If you are in the US you need to be carefull if the rifle has previously had a replacment barrel fitted in the states as it is common practice to chase the threads to 60 degrees. I would suggest that you take a half circle wax casting and check the angle if this is the case before you order. It may not make a lot of difference if you nip the barrel up slightly over tight (100 Lbsft.) A pre threaded barrel is not necessarily a spin on fit, you need to make sure that it bottoms on both the primary and secondary shoulder evenly. As long as you spot that in right and torque it up. then you will get a no wobble fit irrispective of a little thread tollerence. Regards |
