Looking for adjustment screw for pre-war Mauser DST

I have a pre-war Mauser 98 guild-type rifle with double set triggers but missing the small trigger adjustment screw. Can anyone give me any advice as to where I might be able to find one? Thanks.

From the classified section of the Mannlicher Collector newsletter

"DST adjusting screws for M-S and others. Phillips head, plated brass Not original,$9.00/12

postpaid (USA) $12.00/12 overseas. Don Henry PO BOX 7144, Salem, Or 97303 "

Those screws were never standardized! Every set-trigger maker (yes, "Stechermacher" was a specialized profession in Suhl and Zella-Mehlis) used his own screws, some with metric sizes, most Whitworth threads, as did the Mauser, Oberndorf factory. Even pre- and postwar Mannlicher-Schoenauers differ, Steyr changed to metric threads only after WW2.

You may have to drill slightly larger and re-tap. Run the problem by Track of the Wolf
they may have some / a clockmaker / someone who fixes fishing reels. TotW have set triggers
and parts for them - mostly old style BP stuff.

I'm with kuduae on this - I have several rifles with DSTs and no 2 are alike. --- John
