there is an old scope on egun now with a remarkable engraving from Otto Bock, best known as the inventor of the 9,3x62. ![]() ![]() it reads: Otto Bock, K.&K. Hofl(ieferant) Berlin well a Hoflieferant means Royal Warrant of Appointment what Bock was but for the german emperor. K.&K. looks like KuK what means the Kaiser of Austria and King of Hungary. It would be new to me that Otto Bock was also the royal warrant of Franz Joseph I. the abbrevation could also stand for Wilhelm II., Deutscher Kaiser und König von Preussen but never I see "K.&K." in this context. Anyone here have seen K.&K. on another Bock rifle before? |
