Interesting. "Wilhelm Schultz" of course sounds very German. And 9x57 is an old German caliber, obsolete after WWII. But the stockwork looks classic American. Fleur-de-lis checkering patterns were never popular in Germany. Then the Canjar trigger, the bolt handle, and what appears to be a Winchester 70 type safety. This might be a prewar German rifle, restocked and modernized by a very good American gunsmith. Fuhrmann |
