Wait until you see the next one to be posted some time next week, it is in 30 Gov't 06 with carl zeiss scope, original leather scope caps, leather scope bag, leather rifle case, all made in 1928.
This 8x57JS is still new to me and hasn't been out of the stock yet for a closer inspection but is in incredible shape & I suspect it is a late 1920's gun as well, they are both relief engraved with Merco overide double set triggers, hex to round bbl with intregal rib, claw mounted scopes, stock configuration differs on the 06 having a fuller forend with horn forend tip, both have greener side safeties as well as the flag safety. This 8x57JS has a gold band dovetailed into the flag safety with the S engraved into it.
