W.J. Jeffery #2, on a standard action. Neat rifle with a couple of cool features, though relatively plain wood. The bore is a little dirty if I recall. I don't think I ever got around to shooting it before it left (I had two Jeffery .404s and 'badly' needed a G&H 505!). If I recall that rifle was built on a military action which Jeffery's, in their catalog, emphatically claimed that their rifles were NOT built on! Of course this was a 1920s era catalog when they were using commercial mag Mausers.
