the stock with "Bäckchen" and the attachment with a wedge were typical for Suhl/Zella Mehlis gunmaker builds before WW1 but also into the 1920s. looks like an ex military rifle was used here for making a hunting rifle.

whats with the proof marks? seems to be the I caliber.
