Re: Purdey Bolt Action Rifle in 416 Rigby

I think most of us tend to throw our guns up with head down without having to realign the sights provided all is set up to fit. Claw mounts are great but this is at least .500 too high. Would work fine if time to set up but lousy for snap shooting. The most interesting thing about this rifle is the resemblance to all the American customs featured in the mid to late 70's Gun Digest from an English maker of their reputation. Seem to have abandoned 200 years of style and elegance combined with functional perfection. As to price for a Mauser actioned hunting rifle, well...... it is a Purdey after all.
