I assume the peep bolt shroud sight can be
rotated down when using the express sights? Does it get
in the way of the right hand when rotated down?

No trouble with the Lyman n°1 bolt peep sight when folded
with our elongated grip style. I have shot numerous rounds
at the bench with that rifle and never encountered an hand bite.

Joel,

Thanks for the reply. I made the shocking realisation the
other day, I am not sure if I have ever used or shot a
rifle using a peep sight?! I have a mental picture of
looking through peep sights, so must have done that with a
rifle some time in the distant past, but have no memory of
pulling a trigger with one. Must rectify this one day soon.

It might be a bit redundant, but I see having a rifle with
three different sighting systems as quite cool, scope,
peep and V sight. Or a choice of scope, Red dot and V
express sights, especially on a double rifle.

Your rifles are such modern classics. IMO without all the
un-neccessary embellishments of excessive engraving,
carving whatever sometimes clients want, making them such
clean designs. And IMO some of the best in the world. I
must shut up, before driving the price up and up, before I
order at least one of them one day!

As a French gunmaker, what is the epitome of "French:
calibres for a sporting rifle? Was there any particular
cartridges invented for world wide hunting for French
hunters and shooters? The French had huge African
territories after all and some great hunting territories.
Maybe not, but not excluding them, the French military
cartridges, I suppose they suffered from the civilian ban.
