I have one of these . I had one with a better stock and sold it . I then regretted that and bought another. They are very fine , much like a miniature Mauser with the same between the wars German styling . I had trouble getting the original ammo as the hornet round has a rim which is too thick .I had my poor gunsmith remove by hand labour a small amount from BEHIND the rim . If you remove brass from the front the primer will sit proud . Its very accurate . I have a 22mm Hensoldt scope on it with lever slide on mount. The stock wood on my rifle is rather plain unlike the earlier one I had . I have been thinking of getting mine custom stocked with a good blank .They are worth it . I will be interested to see what Joel at Dorleac does with his. I will try to upload some photos but I can't do that myself I did hear that some om these rifles were chambered for 25 Remington which is the 25/35 Win. without a rim . Regards . |
